Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
In short: FitLog does not track you, does not show ads and does not sell your data. You can use the app without giving an email address. Your weight, meals and workouts live in your own account and your friends cannot see them. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
1Who we are
FitLog is built and operated by DeepyTech, based in Türkiye. This policy covers the personal data processed in the FitLog iOS app. DeepyTech is the data controller; contact details are at the bottom of this page.
2What we process
We process only what the app needs in order to work. None of it is used for advertising or profiling.
| Data | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifier | Knowing which data is yours | Created automatically on first launch |
| Display name and friend code | So friends can recognise you | You enter it |
| Height, weight, goal weight, date of birth, sex, activity level | Calculating your calorie and macro targets | You enter it |
| Weigh-ins, meals, water, workouts and sets | The core function of the app | You enter it, or it is read from Apple Health |
| Friends list and requests | Logging workouts together | You add them |
| Push token | Workout reminders | From your device, if you allow notifications |
| Email address | Making your account permanent | Only if you link Sign in with Apple |
What we do not process
- Location, contacts, photo library or microphone data
- Advertising identifier (IDFA) — FitLog never asks for tracking permission and contains no ad networks
- Payment details — the app is free and has no in-app purchases
3Accounts and Sign in with Apple
You do not need an email address or a password to start using FitLog; the app creates an anonymous account for you on first launch. That account is nothing more than a random identifier that ties your data together.
If you want your data to survive changing devices, you can link Sign in with Apple from the Profile tab. Apple then passes us a stable user identifier and — if you allow it — an email address. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we only ever receive the relay address, never your real one.
4Apple Health (HealthKit)
The Apple Health integration is entirely optional and only runs once you explicitly grant permission. If you do, FitLog:
- writes your weigh-ins, workouts and meals to Apple Health,
- reads your weight, step count and active energy from Apple Health.
Data read from Apple Health is used only inside the app, to show your progress and to keep your calorie balance accurate. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and is never sold or shared with third parties. You can withdraw permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
5What your friends can see
Friends see only your display name, your friend code, your main goal and your training activity (workouts this week, and the name and time of your last workout). When you log a workout together, both of you can see that session.
Your weight, measurements, meals and calorie targets are never shared with friends.
6Service providers
We use the following providers to run the app. Each one only handles the data its function requires:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) — creating your account and storing your data. Servers are in the EU region.
- OneSignal — delivering notifications. Receives only your device's push token and your account identifier.
- Cloudflare Workers — the relay that forwards friend notifications. It passes the message through and stores nothing.
- Open Food Facts — barcode and food search. Only the barcode or text you search for is sent, and it is not linked to your account.
We transfer data to no one else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.
7Retention and deletion
Your data stays in your account until you delete it. Using Profile → Delete account in the app permanently removes your workouts, meals, weigh-ins, friendships and profile from our servers and closes your account. This cannot be undone.
Records already written to Apple Health remain in the Health app. To remove those, use Health app → Profile → Apps → FitLog.
8Security
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Database rules enforce that each record can only be read and written by its owner; friend data is reachable only where a mutual friendship exists.
9Your rights
Under GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK) you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, and to restrict its processing. Access and deletion are available directly in the app. For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days at the latest.
10Children
FitLog is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn that we hold data belonging to a user under 13, we delete it.
11Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will tell you in the app when a change is significant. The date at the top of the page shows the version in force.
